Life/object drawing

Just some drawings I did a while ago, they are of both people and objects.

People from while I was waiting and on the train. Most of these are unfinished because when both the train and people move it can be a pain. train-people-1

Red & Wolf

Ok going though my blog I only just noticed that for the project I had for Red and Wolf are not up. For some reason only the buildings in sketch up and the mini brief are up. I’m not sure how that happened however i’ll show more work from that project in this post.

The drawn buildings

Single Frame and Sequential Image

We were asked to choose two items from a list, one from the 1st section and 1 from the other. The ones I choose was the saying, Always forgive your enemies nothing annoys them so much by Oscar Wilde. Also the Myth about Egyptian curses. This is what I have come up with for them both.
These single images are meant to show the saying/myth in one image allowing you to know what it is. The sequentails are a series of images that show the saying/myth. This can be done in a style of a comic.

These are my single frame images. The 3rd image is the cut out of the 5th, if you stood them up and used a light it makes an interesting shadow. I found that the left over cut outs of the 3rd image are more interesting to play around with then the the single cut out image. I don’t like at how light the pencil turned out on my single frame quote though, I’ll be using more effective pencils from more on or at least make sure they I go over the pencil if it still looks light.

This is both single and sequential. The reason it’s both is because it’s meant to be a jigsaw, that means it can be both one image and become multiple images.

Characters

These are the ideas I have come up with for character design.  So far I like how the bennie hat boy, bunny boy, super cat, badass girl and girl with rabbit have turned out. The ones i’m going to work on and use will be super cat and badass girl.

SAM_7315 Boy and Bennie hat boy.

SAM_7317 Boy2, girl and bunny boy.

SAM_7319 Night girl, thing, birdy, super cat and badass girl.

I like the badass girl and super cat, it was suggested to me that I could have a main and a sidekick to that character. I think i’ll do that with these two.

SAM_7320 Girl with rabbit, random kid, cold boy and the witch twins.

The girl with the rabbit has two different looks to her, one where her face is covered and the other where some of her face can be seen. The dress is different for her as well.

Drawings/Shapes

With some of the blogs the images don’t show up, so here are the images that haven’t been showing up.

Shapes – From when we were asked to draw the five different shapes Ialso decided that I will show these shapes as well. These are all attempts to use perspective in creating objects, they are meant to look like a shape that is in another shape. We also did thin and thick lines, thick lines happen when you can’t see a side of the object.
